Termites Pre-construction & Timber Pest Inspections

Protecting Your Property with Expert Inspections

Termites and other timber pests pose a significant threat to the structural integrity of homes and buildings. At Outback Pest Control, we specialise in comprehensive termite and timber pest inspections, utilising the latest technology and methods to detect and assess any potential risks to your property. Termite inspections are not restricted to those people purchasing a property but should be considered by every home owner every 12 months or more often in a high risk area or if the construction design of the property classifies it as a high termite risk structure.

Pre- Construction and Renovations

Under the building regulations, your new home must be fitted with a termite management system or often referred to as a “physical termite barrier”. These barriers are placed once plumbing is installed and prior to framework installation to ensure that termites can not penetrate into your new home and cause damage.

Thankfully the installation of these barriers can be completed by choosing Blast Pest Management to install and complete on your behalf. Taking one less hassle off your list and one step closer to your complete home.

Before you start your renovation plan to talk with a termite specialist to assess the area and ensure it complies with current requirements under state law. At Blast we have trained and experienced technicians that are able to advise what measures need to be taken prior to your renovation. They will also provide recommendations and perform works requiring to be completed prior or during renovation.

Please note it is best to address these measures prior to a renovation beginning, however, if this step has been overlooked Blast will work with you on a strategy to get the renovation completed.

Our Inspection Process: Thorough and Detailed

Before you buy a house anywhere in Australia, you should have a Timber Pest Inspection and Report prepared to assure you that the property does not have potential to be infested or is not currently infested by termites or other timber pests as so many are. The purpose of the Pre Purchase Timber Pest Inspection and Report is to assist you, the purchaser, to identify and understand any timber pest concerns that were observed at time of inspection. Our experienced technicians conduct thorough inspections, examining every corner of your property for signs of termite activity and timber damage. We use advanced tools such as moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to detect hidden infestations, ensuring no area is overlooked. Our detailed inspection covers:

  • Interior and exterior areas of the building
  • Subfloor and roof void spaces
  • Garden landscaping and fences
  • Any timber structures on the property

Expert Recommendations and Reports

Following the inspection, we provide a comprehensive report detailing our findings, including any areas of concern and the extent of any infestation or damage. We offer expert recommendations for treatment and prevention, tailored to your specific situation. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and solutions needed to protect your property effectively.

The inspection will include an assessment of each of the following areas, as is required of the standard:

  • All accessible areas within the interior of the building/s – excluding furniture and stored items.
  • All accessible areas of the exterior of the building/s.
  • All accessible roof voids.
  • All accessible sub-floor spaces.
